Went to church today, good sermon (of course). My daughter had a soccer game at 1:00pm, so we had to rush home between services, grab a bite to eat, then rush back to church to pick her up, rush to the game, only a few minutes late. At least they don't play before 1:00pm. Ah, the benefits of living in The South. Everyone goes to church, or at least allows for people to go to church. You can't even buy beer before 2:00pm on Sunday.
Hey, my daughter's soccer team won today! Their record is now 1-5-1, with 3 goals scored all season. They were all pumped after their goal (about 2/3 of the way through the first half), and kept it together for the whole game, playing like a team. In some of the other games, they seemed to get too far behind, and just gave up.
Still job hunting. Heard about a place that has grants to let you get tuition reimbursement for classes that expand your skills, need to call them tomorrow. Some project management class, maybe? I applied to several places for part-time work, I'll see if any want to hire someone who is way over-qualified. Heck, I'd drop them in a minute if a *REAL* programming job came open, but in light of the current technical job market, I'm not holding my breath..........
I got a notice from the California DMV (haven't lived in CA for almost 4 years) that my license is going to expire. I guess I'll have to call them tomorrow Oh joy, beauracrats. Yes, a generalization; the many who are actually diligent are overshadowed by the few that are either really incompetent or just apathetic, and take it out on the rest of us just trying to get something done.
